Couchsurfing Web Redesign
As part of a two-week design sprint at General Assembly I worked with a team to create a new digital solution for Life Alert. Later I spent a week developing a service design concept which expanded Life Alert’s offerings to appeal to a wider audience and shift their product from a reactive model to a proactive one.
Together with Rosenfeld author and Interaction designer Chris Noessel, I co-created a workshop to allow designers the chance to reimagine the interfaces in the classic film Star Wars. The workshop helps designers to derive real-world design lessons from fictional interfaces in a fun and entertaining way. The workshop was first presented last year in Stockholm and will continue it's tour of Sweden by partnering with Unsworn Industries in Malmö at the beginning of March this year.
While studying Urban Design at Berkeley, I undertook a semester-long enthnographic study of Oakland's Fruitvale district. Through use of data synthesis, contextual inquiry, extensive mapping, and stakeholder interviews, I was able to gain useful insights for urban designers and local government who manage the district.
